[In-person tour] This walking tour with architectural historian Matt Postal examines unsung achievements by trailblazing women architects, designers, and intellectuals. While conventional narratives emphasize male contributions, we’ll look at major mid-20th century buildings where women played important roles, such as the Universal Pictures Building (Elsa Gidoni), the Manufacturers Trust Company Bank (Elizabeth Swan), the Seagram Building (Ada Louise Huxtable), and St. Peter’s Episcopal Church (Lelia Vignelli).
