Summary

[In-person tour] Two Bridges Historic District, listed on the National Register in 2003. We’ll concentrate on structures that tell the evolving story of housing and immigrant life in New York City. Likely highlights include townhouses and tenements, Knickerbocker Village -- the first federally-financed apartment complex in the nation, and several architecturally-distinguished residential projects associated with mid-20th century urban renewal.
