Dorothea Lange is mostly known for her documentary photography during the Great Depression, but she traveled the country and covered many different stories. MoMA's recent exhibition focused on the intricate relationship between her images and the captions and writings that accompanied them - an interesting discussion for our time. Her sensitive approach and deep humanity helps us relate to people's lives in the mid-20th century and find so many touch points.
