Join MAS for a free virtual conversation examining the evolution of the comprehensive plan from a planning exercise to a dynamic governance framework. This discussion will illuminate best practices for bringing communities into the process early and often, and how comprehensive plans can assist in adapting to climate change, direct growth, and prioritize investments to address longstanding disparities between people and places. We will be joined by Lisa Fairmaner, Head of the London Plan and Growth Strategies for the Greater London Authority, Susan Haid, Deputy Director for Long Range and Strategic Planning for the City of Vancouver, and planner and landscape architect, David Rouse, who is the co-author of the forthcoming book, The Comprehensive Plan: Sustainable, Resilient, and Equitable Communities for the 21st Century. This program will be moderated by MAS’s Director of Advocacy, Spencer Williams.
