From 4th street and Bowery to Great Jones and Bond, a local neighborhood stroll starts with the downtown theatre row (supported by the jM Kaplan family fund) the former buildings owned and lived in by basquiat, warhol, Rauschenberg, twombly, chuck close and Jasper johns - and current galleries la mama, Eva presenhuber, Eric Firestone, (more on great jones and bond street) and the new Venus Over Manhattan. (Maybe wrap up with cookies and coffee at Levain on Lafayette?)
