[Virtual tour] Native New Yorker Hildreth Meière was the most distinguished Art Deco muralist of her time. Her designs can be found on public buildings like Radio City Music Hall, and within a variety of houses of worship like the world's largest synagogue, Temple Emanu-El on the Upper East Side; St. Patrick's Cathedral in midtown; and St. Bartholomew's Church on Park Avenue. In this one-hour virtual tour, Ginny Poleman will cover Meière's rise to be one of the most talented, prolific, and versatile American muralists of the twentieth century with dozens of photos of her work, many of which can be visited and seen in person today.
