Ever find yourself walking a street wondering about what historical, interesting or “Only In New York” things have happened to make it look or feel a certain way? In every walking tour, I get curious and excited about something new to learn. After sharing (too many) of these tales with my non-walking tour nerd friends, I decided to try out a Jane’s Walk to give back. (It’s also my birthday weekend and I love a good theme party). On the tour, I’ll bring together 41 things about 41st street from my 41-year old perspective. We’ll talk about Tudor City and that playground by FDR drive to the far east. Then we’ll pass Grand Central, Bryant Park, the New York Times building, Port Authority and end at Hudson Yards.
