Over a two hour walking tour, explore the heart of what was once a major hub for the sensational, international phenomenon known as Yiddish theater. Yiddish theater was the second most popular language theater in NYC with many theaters, troupes, and of course stars. Beginning at the site of Jacob Adler’s Grand Theater and ending in Union Square, this walking tour will have attendees walk along the former Yiddish Broadway with special attention paid to sites of past theaters and notable performances. Attendees should wear comfortable shoes, bring water, and be prepared to stand for longer periods of time.
