Welcome to East Harlem...or as we call it, El Barrio. The New York Academy of Medicine invites you to experience El Barrio and learn about the neighborhood's age-friendly features. Join us as we visit key sites and discuss how this community worked to build on their assets and create a more age-friendly environment. We will showcase neighborhood cultural landmarks, local eateries, and programs that are part of NY City’s first Aging Improvement District.
