Summary

The breakneck pace of development along the North Brooklyn Waterfront can give even a native New Yorker whiplash. So join us for an in-depth tour about the impact and history of the 2005 rezoning of the Williamsburg/Greenpoint waterfront, which has all but wiped away its industrial past and replaced it with shiny new towers and mega-developments that now dot its coastline.

Focusing specifically on the exchange of hyper development and public space, we'll touch on themes of Environmental Justice, Historic Preservation, Grassroots Advocacy, Urban Planning, Waterfront Resiliency, and Public-Private Partnerships.

Each day through the event weekend, we will be joined by a guest speaker at key locations: Friday; Michael Lampariello, Domino Park. Saturday; Lisa Bloodgood, North Brooklyn Neighbors. Sunday; Daniel Campo Associate Professor, City and Regional Planning, Morgan State University.
Event Registration is closed.
