This guided walk will focus on public art and environmental justice in Hunts Point in the South Bronx, the city’s heart of manufacturing and food distribution, a hub of arts and activism, and the birthplace of hip-hop. The tour explores how industry, community, and nature intersect to fuse art, environmental, and social justice in an inner-city neighborhood. While we celebrate Jane Jacobs, we partake in another international action day - Print Day in May , with a workshop hosted by artist Tammy Wofsey, and the meta local Annual POINT Town Hall, a forum to inform our neighbors and partners about our campaigns to combat environmental and social injustices.
