[In-person tour] Highlighting examples of mid-20th century modern architecture, architectural historian Matt Postal leads a tour of buildings built before (and after) designation of the Brooklyn Heights Historic District in 1965. Our varied (and sometimes controversial) itinerary considers buildings in and around the district’s most historic blocks, such as courthouses and memorials, middle-income housing complexes designed by Morris Lapidus and Kelly & Gruzen, government-financed artists’ housing, as well as early contextual designs approved by the Landmarks Preservation Commission.

For all tours, there are no refunds, cancellations, or exchanges unless we cancel a tour. Online registration closes one hour prior to the tour start time.
