Summary

On October 21st from 5:00-6:30, join MAS for an exploration of Pier 26 at Hudson River Park, 2021 MASterworks winner for Best Urban Landscape. Learn about one of the newest additions to Hudson River Park by enjoying a guided stroll led by staff members from OLIN Studio and Hudson River Park Trust. Team members from OLIN Studio will include Lucinda Sanders (CEO and Partner), Jamee Kominsky (Associate), and Demetrios Staurinos (Associate) plus Hudson River Park Trust's Carrie Roble (Vice President, River Project).

The 2.5-acre pier is an exciting and lush ecological escape that evokes what Manhattan’s ecosystem was like prior to human-development. By introducing you to the five native ecological zones flourishing within the park, this program will engage you in both the history and ecology of the Hudson River Estuary.

Pier 26 is easily accessible by public transport and bicycle. Nearest public transport: A, C, and E trains at Canal Street station and 1 train at Franklin Street station. The SIM7, SIM9, and the SIM33 buses are accessible at the West Street and N. Moore Street stop. A Citi bike station is also located at N. Moore Street/Greenwich Street.

COVID Safety Guidelines:
This program is limited to 20 attendees. Your guide and fellow participants will thank you for your cooperation. Should the group happen to venture indoors, masks and/or proof of vaccination may be required, so please be prepared to have both with you.
