Summary

Our walk will be around the outside of the grounds and house that was the home of Frederick Law Olmsted -- who designed Central Park and hundreds of other parks. Bring your camera -- the trees he planted in 1849 still survive! We will wlak in the 3 1/2 acres that still survive today. His stone house is still standing, yet we will not go inside. We will walk a short distance to the beach on his land to see where his dock was. This is where his story begins! An NYC Landmarks site, most people have no idea this house exists with the first trees he ever planted.
