Summary

[Virtual tour] Edna St. Vincent Millay was a daring, versatile, Pulitzer Prize-winning writer whose work brought new hope to a generation of youth disillusioned by the social and political upheaval of the First World War. Her free-spirited life at Vassar, and in the early 1920's in Greenwich Village, illuminate the Bohemian lifestyle she and her friends enjoyed. Join Holly Peppe and Mark O'Berski of the Millay Society for this virtual day trip to learn about Millay's life and career including her years in the Village, and her country life at Steepletop in Austerlitz, NY. Currently closed to the public, Steepletop will be open for visitors one day this summer, on Saturday, August 13th, for a musical fundraiser to benefit the maintenance and restoration of the historic site (see www.millay.org).
Event Registration is closed.
