Summary

[Virtual tour] In the years between 1807 and 1971, the Hudson River was alive with boat traffic. The great Hudson River Day Liners were perhaps the best known of all the vessels – famous for their elegance and speed. New Yorkers and visitors alike experienced the river and the magnificent landscapes from the decks and plush salons of these grand dames. The Day Liners carried millions of passengers between New York City and Albany, with stops at all the major towns in between. Join preservationist Liz McEnaney for this two part "virtual tour" where we travel in time and visit the historic Hudson River cities and towns. Part 2: Continue our voyage to Kingston, Hudson, and Albany.
