Experience the Rockaways' newest park, the Arverne East Nature Preserve. The Preserve is a 26-acre urban renewal site that laid vacant for five decades, and has been reimagined as a public resource for humans, flora, and fauna. Accessible paths lead through examples of coastal habitats typical to the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Coast, and also provide safe access between the neighborhood and the beach and boardwalk.
